The program days are from Tuesday to Friday. Adult Day Program services include therapeutic Recreation, health monitoring and promotion, and respite services. Must be eligible to be a Home Care client for referral to Adult Day Program. (403-361-7181)

Home care offers a range of services from nursing, therapy, rehabilitation, personal care and wound care The team consists of Nurses, Social Workers, Therapists, and Health Care Aide. (403-943-1920)

The purpose of the KARE Volunteer Driver Program is to assist those who do not have access to affordable, inter-municipal transportation (between communities) for their Healthcare and personal appointments. Each Client is required to fill out a client application.

Once the client is set up, they can just call the Strathmore FCSS office to book a ride. The client is responsible for reimbursing the driver for expenses & parking. Rides are booked on a first-come-first-served basis by calling the Strathmore FCSS office. It is recommended that trips be booked as far in advance as possible. While the Strathmore FCSS office will work to ensure that all client needs are met, the availability of rides is based on the availability of program volunteers.

If you have a modest income and a simple tax situation, Strathmore FCSS and volunteers can help prepare your basic income taxes. This service is for seniors and people that can't prepare their taxes on their own. Drop in or call 403-934-9090 to make an appointment.

Strathmore FCSS, in conjunction with Calgary Meals on Wheels, offers residents of Strathmore a Frozen Meal Program. For more information, call Strathmore FCSS at 403-934-9090.

Provides residents an opportunity to purchase fresh produce at a very low cost. Participants pre-order & pay on or before the order date.

“The Happy Gang 50+ Society of Strathmore was formed in 1975 to provide activities for Adults 50+. They organize programs for members in Strathmore to improve their quality of life and health by empowering individuals to remain physically active and involved. This informal group provides friendly visiting, information and a great furnished space. The organization and activities are run wholly by the member volunteers.” Yearly membership for this program is $35.

Sing Your High Note is a music therapy program open to all adults in the community. It brings participants together to celebrate their favourite songs from across generations and genres. This group comes together with the collective intention of using music and the joy of singing together to catalyze wellness and connection. This program runs every first, third and fifth Tuesday of each month from 1:15 pm – 2:15 pm at the Hope Community Covenant Church (245 Brent Boulevard, Strathmore) with

Laurie Perez from JB Music Therapy. This program is $15 per session, and you can register online.

Adaptive Drumming is aimed at promoting connection among participants, having fun and learning simple rhythms in a welcoming group setting. There are many potential benefits to participating in a drum circle, including stress reduction, support with hand-eye coordination, motor skills and increased social connection. This program runs every second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 1:15 pm - 2:15 pm at the Hope Community Covenant Church (245 Brent Boulevard, Strathmore) with Laurie Perez from JB Music Therapy.
