What is the training about?
TimeSlips Facilitator Training is an evidence informed certification program that teaches participants how to use creativity and storytelling to build meaningful connections with people living with dementia. Through online learning and hands on practice, participants develop practical skills in creative communication, engagement, and person centred care.
Who is this for?
This training is ideal for healthcare professionals, recreation staff, community organization staff, volunteers, family care partners, and anyone supporting people living with dementia.
Why should one attend?
Learn practical, evidence informed strategies to foster connection, communication, and creativity beyond memory. Participants who complete all required components will become Certified TimeSlips Facilitators.
Important Information
• Spaces are limited. A waitlist will be available once the training is full.
• This training includes approximately 3 hours of self paced online learning, followed by instructor led, in person workshop.
• After registering, you will receive an email with instructions to create your TimeSlips account and access the online learning modules.
• The online modules can be completed at your own pace and on your own schedule, but both must be completed before attending the in person training on September 30.
• Participants who successfully complete all required components will become Certified TimeSlips Facilitators.
