Taking care of someone with dementia can be challenging and stressful but also rewarding.
Consider signing up for our "Care Partner Strategies" education session to learn practical strategies and help you feel more confident and empowered with excellent skills.
We have a workshop to help with any of these challenges:
- Repetitive questions
- Physical aggression or posturing
- Emotional ups and downs
- False memories or hallucinations
- Unexpected or socially inappropriate behaviours
- And any other questions you have
Sometimes creative solutions can be used at home to address a specific challenge.
Challenge: Repetitive questions causing frustration
Optional Solution: Some caregivers have found that having a whiteboard in a common or favourite area (where the person frequents) reduces repetitive questions. They itemize the day’s activities or other important information for the household. What’s more, it becomes an activity because everyone can contribute to it.
You can also get help one-to-one.
Let’s have a conversation and see what we can come up with together.
